what is the difference in acetone precipitation and ammonium sulphate precipitation for protein purification, and which is effective and why?

acetone precipitation will denature the protein which could be used for the last step of purification to concentrate the samples.

ammonium sulphate precipitation is commonly used for the first step of protein purification, and the protein will keep an active form after stepwise dialysis.
