Is Sheer Cover make-up and cleanser good for people with rosacea?

Sheer Cover would probably be ok for someone with rosacea, but anyone with acne-prone skin should STAY AWAY from the stuff. Not only did I break out terribly while I wore it, but it caused small cyst-like infections.

Sheer Cover doesn't make you break out more. I actually break out much much less after I started using sheer cover because I wasn't wearing any oil based or any kind of liquid foundation anymore. I got tons of compliments wearing Sheer Mineral. Everyone compliment on how great my complexion was. And I DON"T have good complexion at all, but it Sheer Cover covers so well, it doesn't look like I have a lot of make up on, but still gives me a luminous look to my face

I have tried just about every "cure" for acne out there. I even took Accutaine and now have countless medical problems. If only I had found what worked for me before that! I know that not everything works for everyone, but Mary Kay is the only thing that works for me. In three weeks, not only was my acne gone, but the horrible scars I had received where gone as well. Not only is the cleansing line the best, the make up is fantastic. Especially the new foundations. I couldn't  believe how awesome I looked for my wedding when my consultant did my make-up. I just wanted to share my opinion about that.

Sheer Cover litterally burned my skin. I received even more scars just from using this product. I have extremely sensitive skin. So, sensitive skinned women---be very careful! I hope this helps.

I dont know what color to buy? Im not very dark and not to white, but not to tan. What color should I buy? What will work for me the light or med. Help?

i tried sheer cover and it changed my life i have bad acne which i tried to cover up with oily foundation which made me break out even more. but i found sheer cover to help my skin look more radiant and glowing. i definitely recommend it.

Sheer Cover costs a fortune.  I got a bill for over 100 bucks for my latest shipment. Don't sign up, whatever you do.

I get compliments and less breakouts after using Sheer Cover as well. I just dislike how it comes off easily. They say in the infomercial it stays in place...

Has anyone had the problem with this winter with the sheer cover making your face more dryer than usual? My face was so dry that even after putting moisterizers on you could scrape the dry skin off. After stop using it for a while did it clear up.

People with rosacea should consult with a dermatolagist or esthetician before using any form of liquid makeup. Depending on how good the quality is and how sheer it really is it may work both ways. Rosacea can be covered very well using a green tint liquid or powder under any form of face makeup. As long as you are using sensitive lines it shouldn't upset the condition. The green tones down the red colours in the skin to give a nice even complexion.

I have not had any problems with this make-up. It is light on my face compared to other foundation I've used in the past.It also looks just like regular make-up. I like it.

I have recently purchased Sheer cover mineral make up,....i did not think it would work as i do suffer from rosacea across my nose and top of my cheeks, it is wonderful & surprisingly light, no blemishes can be seen and it does look natural and lasts, my daughter as tried it also and she suffers with acne.it was great on her too, and her face seems less greasy now. i do reccomend it. this is the best product i'veever bought I have tried almost all the high end makeup and they do not compare to the coverage and radiance this foundation gives your complexion!!!

Mineral make-up is the best!  It covers all day, never looks oily and my acne prone skin doesn't break out at all.  Even my dad who never compliments said how great my skin looks!

I break out MUCH less with sheer cover.  I notice a definite difference in my complexion.  My skin never feels dry like I thought it would using the powders.  My pores are noticeably smaller, and I don't have the tiny blackheads on my nose anymore that I've had since I was a teenager.

Jane Iredale (www.janeiredale.com) is available from many dermatologists and is the preferred mineral make-up for rosacea, however please note that it will not provide anywhere near the same SPF as a chemical sunblock.

Sheercover is GREAT! I also use MARUD at night as my acne treatment along with it and I have been breaking out less. My skin looks like it did when I was 16. I LOVE Sheercover and recomend it to anyone who wants to ware makeup with out the oily heavy feeling. I used to use Clinque and sheercover is 3 times better. It is even better than Bearminerals and cheeper.

I have malasma, rosacea and adult acne, and I have FAR fewer problems now that I use sheer cover.  It's almost like my problems no longer exist--at least as far as anyone can tell. Haven't had a breakout in 2 months.

I have rosacea and Sheer Cover works great!!!  I have albinism and my skin is extremely sensitive, but so far I've had no reactions at all.  I love that its not oily.  When my face starts to shine in the afternoon, it doesn't look like an oil slick.  It looks more glowy than oily. I also love that there is a color for me.  It doesn't come in the kit, even the light kit was too dark.  But I called them and they sent me Frost and Extra Light concealor free of charge to try it out.  I loved it!!! I recommend Sheer Cover to everyone.

i like the way sheer cover feels on my face. it is diffently little than what i use to wear which was heavy and felt like you were wearing make up. since i'vebeen using sheer cover it's been great. yeah it doesn't cover every single flaw but it does the job.

It is like any make up product. Some things work for some and not others. Something that breaks you out might not make me break out. It all depends on the individual.

I was almost ready to order this product when I saw the part of the show with Melissa Gilbert purportedly wearing no make-up. As a kid on T.V. she had lots of freckles, but she doesn't appear to have any now, and her complexion looked perfect before applying the Sheer Cover.  It makes me wonder.

I was suprised the first time I used it. I have really bad rosacea. It covered my redness and my skin looked good again. I feel like I'm wearing no make-up, it's really a wonderful product!

I did not like sheer cover, it looked very pretty on, but I would break out horribly afterwards, dont recomend it to anyone

Well, Everyone has different type of skin..so its hard to say.As for me. I use Bare Essentuals & its OK.so/so. I think I'm gonna go back to ZA New York.

Sheer Cover is great!!! It works fine for all skin types.. The key is to have a CLEAN face & go from there.. other products can conflict w/it & cause break outs, but I haven't had any problems at alL!

I actually don't have acne-prone skin, but so far I've used both Bare Minerals and Sheer Cover, and that same day I break out in these little pimple-like looking bumps.  Once I wash the minerals off, and keep the skin dry for about a day, it goes away.  
I think it's one of the ingredients such as the mica or one of those minerals.  We each have minerals we can't tolerate for various reasons.  They effect maybe more than just our epidermis.

I don't think that it would make you break out more. I have been using sheer cover for a while and it makes my skin look so much better than it did before. People at my school have been asking what it is that I am using. When I tell them, they are all amazed. I would encourage you to give it a try. You will be blown away!!!

I have always had great skin until I got older and got a major case of rosacea.  I had to quit using my reg make-up or risk huge break outs.  I have tried everything even took antibiotics to get rid of it, which worked for about a week.  With the combination of medication and constantly trying new creams and foundations my skin got extremely dry and more and more breakouts.  I had to use heavier makeup to cover the blemishes.  I was using the spray on foundation (which is very heavy) just to conceal.    I started using sheer cover two weeks ago and for the first time in 4 years my skin is clear and no new break outs.  I love it.  My doctor even comented on my skin not being so dry now.  It's time to re-order.

I just got sheer cover, and it seems like it is caked on.... Maybe I am putting it on to heavily, but this is my 3rd day and I hope it does not make me break out anymore then I already do.

I have acne prone skin and sheer cover doesn't make me break out.  I don't even wash it off at night and I have less pimples then ever.  Casquez I would suggest trying to wash the brush you are using every few days.

SHEER COVER HAS BEEN GREAT FOR ME...I HAVE A TRIPLE THREAT FACE...I'M A RED HEAD SO MY COMPLEXION IS EXTREMELY FAIR; AND BECAUSE OF THAT EVERY DISCOLORATION/BLEMISH ANYTHING SHOWS UP LIKE IT WERE UNDER A MICROSCOPE...I ALSO HAVE A HORRIBLE OIL PROBLEM...IN THE 6MONTHS THAT I HAVE BEEN USING SHEER COVER MY SKIN HAS CLEAR UP SIGNIFICANTLY BECAUSE MY PORES ARE NOT BEING CLOGGED WITH MAKEUP BY MY ATTEMPTS TO COVER OF MY FLAWS...ALSO THAT OILY SHINE IS NO LONGER A PROBLEM BECAUSE WITH THE SHEER COVER MY SKIN HAS ACTUALLY BECOME LESS OILY BECAUSE IT IS LESS IRRITATED AND IT CAN BREATH BETTER. At first, I was not satisfied with Sheer cover, but I later learned that I was not using it properly.  The concealer was supposed to be spread all over the face, not just to cover certain spots, then followed by foundation & finishing powder.
For acne prone skin, it works better when used with Proactive treatment.
Sheer cover is the only make-up that does not make me break out, especially when I apply it over Proactive lotion.

I love this foundation,this covers the skin and it not for girls only but boys can use it also, since i used this product my girl friend notices me more, I use this product to cover the terrible acnes and hair on my chest and back, i love the way it feels against my body skin.

I have acne-prone skin, and I just started using Sheer Cover. As long as I wash it off at night, it doesn't make me break out -- but if I fall asleep with it on, I will have breakouts in the morning. I have also recently tried Neutrogena's minerals powder (but didn't like the color as well) and ProActive's makeup line. ProActive did not cause breakouts, but it doesn't look natural. I have to buy more makeup now, and I'm split between ProActive and Sheer Cover.  Yes, both are Guthy-Renker products. No, I am not affiliated with the company. I am AConsumer. :-)

I have purchased sheer cover and it's O.K.  I would like to cancel my regular order as I don't want to continue purshasing the stuff.  Nothing wrong with it, it covers like all the rest. Really no reason to purshase my make up that way. Can go to Sears to get same

Sheer Cover successfully covers the redness of my rosacea without looking heavy and leaves my skin looking luminescent.  It does not irritate my extremely sensitive skin.  Make sure you hydrate first if you have dry skin.

I have dark circle's on the top and under my eye area(I'm African American). I also have sun damage from wearing glasses without using any sun screen. I'm also prone to pimples and reactions to makeup....any makeup, except Sheer Cover.  I have found it to cover my skin problems completely....everytime! When people see me without makeup they assume I'm suffering from some terrible disease which I'm dying from and just won't admit it. Sheer Cover has taken a 35 year old depressed women and not given me hope but a miracle.....I feel whole again. The only thing I could say to improve on the product is it runs when you sweat.......but the new line has addressed that issue and I hope they address it with all their product line in the future. THANK YOU SHEER COVER FOR MY MIRACLE.

I have acne pone skin and have break outs especially around my T zone (mostly my chin) and can be quite bad. Will sheer cover make it worse? Will cober up better than Clinique?
