Do you think a new born puppy like a beagle
would get along with a two year old cat?

Does the beagle have a low body odor?
i read that before.

How long did it take for your pets to get along? Do all Beagles get fat when they grow up? All the pictures I see of older Beagles they are fat. Do Beagles do good in hot weather?

My beagle LOVES all other dogs.  He "tolerates" my cat and vice versa.  I think he is more afraid of my cat than anything. Neighborhood cats, he would love to eat them!! I think it just depends on the individual temperment of your dog

YES! Beagles are great companions for cats! We got our Beagle & our cat around the same time and they are the best of friends. Some problems may occure if you get a new pup & introduce it to an older cat. Cats are very territorial and may not welcome the pup as well as a younger cat would.

Depends.. if he/she was raised with other animals... if he/she had any bad experiences with other animals...
If you have a cat and want to get a beagle puppy... it may take awhile for your cat to adjust, but if you dont push the issue... they usually will get along fine.

I have two female beagles, one female cat and one male cat.  The beagles want to play with the cats.  However, the female tries to avoid them.  The male on ocassion will lay daown and let him play.  They are not aggressive towards the cats.
