I need to install an outdoor GFCI outlet for an above-ground pool.  I would like to know what the electrical requirements are.  What should the proper distance be for the location of this outlet, etc.

I NEED TO INSTALL AN OUTDOOR GFCI OUTLET FOR AN ABOVE GROUND POOL.I WOULD LIKE TO KNOW WHAT THE ELECTRICAL REQUIREMENTS ARE.WHAT SHOULD THE PROPER DISTANCE BE FOR THE LOCATION OF THIS OUTLET,ETC.

N.E.C. 680.22 not with in 3 meter (10ft) from the inside walls of a pool. What is the outlet to be used for? If it is for a motor you will most likey need #14 ( good for 15amp)
