Dear Sir:

I teach English grammar in India.  I have a question on which I would like clarification.
London is one of the most famous cities in the world. In fact, very few cities are as famous as London.  So, why do so very few individuals come to visit?  It leaves people with a negative sense of the city.

Thank you very much.

Yours truly,

Gilbert

London is one of the most famous cities in the world.

'one of the most' connotes that there are other famous cities and London is only one of them

Very few cities are as famous as London.

no need for 'so', 'as' should be used

Not many cities are as famous as London.

'as' should be used instead of 'so'
