I have a daisy chain tattoo on my upper right arm, afterwards as always there was a lot of bruising around the tattoo. Eight years later I still have discolouration in the inside of my arm which looks as if the ink has run and "stained" my skin! Please could you give me some advice as it gets me quite down and I feel instead of showing my tattoo off i have to hide it!

HAS DUG THE NEEDLE IN YOU AND THE TYPE OF NEEDLES USED ARE ALSO A NOTHER REASON...

The subsurface infiltration of black pigment can , and does happen to clients of even the gentlest and most professional of tattoo artists.  It is an incredible disappointment for both artist and client.  It almost always happens in soft, fatty areas, and seems to be the most common under the arms, slightly cranial to the collar bone, on the ass, and possibly around the hip bone area. I have observed this type of infiltration recede with time.  Often not as fast as the client needs it to.  HJA
