Call the manufacturer, whether it be Microsoft or HP or whatever.  I had to and Microsoft helped me and they were very nice and helpful.  Straight to the point.

Hey there,
interfacing a microcontroller to a bluetooth module isn't as easy as it sounds. First of all you have to build memory and the ability to utilise the bluetooth stack into it.

bluetooth modules are readily available, but they're expensive because they're complicated.

   good luck with your project

Most of the bluetooth modules that I've come across recently (as of 16 Feb 2006) communicate via RS-232 compliant serial communications, or via more simple 5V TTL communications.  Some go as far as creating an entire high level command language, but this is to gain more control over the bluetooth stack.

A7 seems to provide a straight-forward and complete (including antenna) bluetooth module that is ready to be connected to a microcontroller - I'm waiting for my first development kit to arrive...  :)  it's the eb505-SER...
