the two main alliance from world war 2 were the soviet union,s were the allies and from  Germany was the axis and hence were the two main alliance from ww2

I do believe that Russia originally had an alliance with Germany, but Germany broke the alliance, so Russia turned to Great Britain for help. The Russians won after The Germans surrendered.
