Go to http://www.lbah.com/Canine/hip_dysplasia.htm for details in such things. It is sad but it is harder and sometimes less successful to do treatment on older dogs for this disease. However, I wish you all the luck in the world! A message to all: if you are going to buy a dog this expensive(or any dog) make sure you buy it from a reccomended breeder that is responsible and tests for these problems.

My dad had a dog diagnosed with that.  He says that there's not much you can do.  Sorry!
