Does anyone know anything about 'Pan American' trumpets or other brass, made in Indiana, USA, around 1940 or 50?

The Pan American was made by Conn/Selmer around 1919-53. See: http://www.whc.net/rjones/conntrumptxt.html

It was the first axe I ever had, 1951.It was priced the same as an Olds Ambassador,but wasn't as good.

I don't know a whole lot, except they were a student line of trumpets in the Conn family. I've owned one myself (either a 1940s or 1950s model)for 30 years and I have often wondered about its history. It's my understanding that the Pan American factory serial numbers may not be available due to a fire destroying their records, but I could be wrong.
