I work with ADSL modems maintenance.
The problem is that I´m having a problem that i can´t handle with.
The NEC ADSL ROUTER model GS-R250S is my problem. Looks like the modem operatinal system is  missing, because when I turn the modem on a boot failure message appear. I already tried the firmware update, but the modem don´t "give" any request.
The only thing that appear i the Hyper terminal window is  above:

Network boot disabled: trying flash or UART

I really need to know how I can fix that.
My job depend on this.

I'm having the same problem. I'm wondering if you was able to solve yours?

If so please provide with any information about that.

I have tried to download new firmware through X-modem serial cable and also downloaded a program thats should send IP to the mac address and then download the firmware but there is no mac address any more so that program is out of the question for this.

Eu estou tendo problemas com esse modelo quando tento liberar as portas necessárias ao Emule... mesmo liberando-as no "Port Forwarding".... Já as liberei no firewall do windows tb... Não sei se errei algo no processo, mas gostaria de ajuda.
Alguém tem alguma dica?
