I have experienced eye problems for several years. I've seen 3 different Dr.'s and they all have said flashing lights in the eyes is nothing to worry about....My concern is this is not normal! Suddenly toward the outside and top of my eye, I experience flashing, neon type zig zag lines that flash very bright and distracting. They can be offset by a bright light and other times not. It usually begins in my left eye and at times can move to my right eye. They almost always last 12 minutes. At times, it leaves me with a bad headache, not always. This began with black floaters, then the lights, now only the lights. As crazy as it sounds it is very annoying. I have a friend in Florida who went to a large clinic and they told her it was the beginning of Glacoma, her eyes have deteriorated to the point she must use drops several time daily. Can you tell me what causes this and what can be done and if I should take the advise I've been offered or seek future help? Thank you kindly
