my 13 1/2 yr old miniature poodle has renal disease. Why do they shiver?

My poodle is at least 10 years old and has diarrhea and, I have changed to single source food, vet has tested and treated with antibiotics and my dog still has watery stool. She also has had a complete CBC diagnostics test, not conclusive. Any suggestions
