I have a kennel of sled dogs.  A 7 yr. old, Charlie has been losing weight for about a month, even though he is eating.  He is dehydrated, and just not himself.  I am putting more water out for him, but with temps of -20 to 15 it doesn't last long.  He has gotten so skinny, he looks like he's starving, his eyes have sunk into his head, and he spends alot of time in his house sleeping.  I can't afford alot of care.  Anything I can do for him, besides putting him down?

You need to get a water heater or something to keep the water from freezing. If he is dehydrated he needs to have as much access to water as possible. Also, you have to try to find a reason he would lose weight while eating regularly. Does he have worms? Is he not getting enough? You can try mixing milk with his food so he can fatten up and get liquid at the same time. If none of that stuff works it would sound like he has a bad medical problem and if you don't have the money to treat him the best thing for both of you would be to put him down. :(
