If I buy a used "RCA DSS" or "dish net" or "direct tv" setup with card but not pay for there service:
Will it get local digital TV ch 2 to 69????
Will it, and what will it get on satellite that is free, and how many sats will I need to point it at.
What would I have to pay for a used setup at a swap meet in the LA CA area such as TRW or Cal Poly

The short answer is "probably not." However, the longer answers can be found by Googling "Free to Air". I think this will tell you what you can reasonably expect to pick up with a DISH Network-type satellite system without having to pay for the subscription.

My brother in law has a brand new never been opened in the box RCA Satellite Receiver Model DS4221RE he has owned for awhile and is selling. My first question are these models stll availble on the market and if so what do they sell for? My next question is because he has owned this for awhile and technology keeps improving, is this a good product? He is selling his RCA Satallite receiver for $50, is there a better product out there for the money? I have a plasma HDTV. Do you have any recomendations for me? Please e-mail your answers to me at HDNCBRIGS@aol.com. Thank you for your consideration.....
