Hi, an AC-1 test is generally accurate.  From my personal experience, they seem to be a little lower than what I expect.  This is probably due to the hours spent sleeping.  Your blood sugar generally lowers while sleeping. This, lowering your overall average.

I strongly recommend that you visit GOOD websites such as Rick Mendosa's site.  The man knows what he's talking about.  http://www.mendosa.com/

You should also check into GOOD software, such as D - Diabetic Software.  I found that their software is first class.  http://www.diabetic-software.com/

Lastly, eat well and exercise.  In the end, you'll be smarter and healthy then the average American.

Good luck with everything.

John

I just had my first AC1 today after being a diabetic for 2 years. My Dr. saw fit to test me today. Of all times...the last 3 months have been sooo stressful. Husband had had 5 surgeries since Dec. He's out of a job. So much more is going on, but I won't bore you with my life story. I just hope, I hope I have a decent reading.
