Every answer so far has a hint of ignorance to it. Here's the real deal: THC metabolites (not active, high-causing THC, but what's left behind by your body's method of processing THC) live on mostly in the body's fat cells. You slowly excrete these metabolites by urinating, sweating, etc. The faster your metabolism, the quicker the THC metabolites - evidence of your smoking sessions - leave your body. The average person who smokes marijuana will probably be "clean" enough to pass a urine-based test in one month of abstinence. Often it takes half as long or shorter. Hair follicles have some THC metabolites in them as well, and pass these along to the hair they grow. However, most hair tests are taken from the short hairs at the nape of the neck, so they don't contain traces of marijuana from too long ago. I do not know how long THC stays in hair follicles, but the reason people think it will be in your hair for obscene amounts of time is because many people don't cut the hair near the scalp for months - that is, until it grows to the ends of their hair length.

okay i got the dream job at an aerospace company good salery a home aka office and a company car. Well things were going great but i still smoked pot I cheated on my pre employment test with somebodys urine and passed dident even think of it.Then the job soon needed a government clearence background,no problem then my boss called me up and said now you must go to the new company medical office for a drug test. I had 1 hour to get there i was freaking out. So I had to give a urine sample and went back to work. Two weeks later in my building i see two gaurds walking towards me and said that my employment has been terminated clean up your desk and was escorted out i was the wosrt thing that could of happend. evrybody from work saw me leaving like i did a big crime or something and i was so embarresed about the situation.today i am back with a second chance after a one year suspenention and will never smoke pot or do drugs again its not worth it.

I quit smoking pot about a month ago and am vary thin (5'3" 100lbs.) How long will it take to get it out of my system?

it takes close to about 2 weeks for the thc to get out of your system,how ever it will take about 3 months for the sympthoms to fully be out of your system.

it will take in access of a month for it to leave your body unless tested through the hair in which a number of illegal/legal drugs or some over the counter drugs may never leave your body. The whole symptom thing. That is a mental thing that will only get better when you want it to. So if your quit about a month or so wait that extrat week or two and you will be fine.

Hey! I smoked pot, like very little, and I didn't get high or anything. But now I might have to get tested. I smoked it on Sunday, and today is Tuesday. Will it come up in any tests?

Smoking pot seemed like such a good idea...20 year ago. I even went to Amsterdam for a week long visit about five years ago and thought it was the best time of my life because of being able to buy and smoke pot everywhere there. But, now, I hate pot. I feel like my lungs have turned into tar. It is one of those things that if you do not regret it now and continue to do it, you will eventually wish that you had never started. Just like smoking cigarettes.

my friend has just started to smoke pot but she is a straight "A" student and a goody good and i would have never imagined that she would do something she told me that the first time she did it that it would be the last then she started doing it almost every break we got from school so basically every weekend. i don't know wat to do but i am her best friend and i am getting worried. what would you do?

i have been smoking hash for more than 8 yrs now- i went thru the FAQ- too American , i would say..so much dependent on research THC has a holistic experience on you and yeah it effects your short term memory,u forget names, tel numbers even instances....the effects are very emotional rather than physical..it makes u wonder y everyone's not like u...and yeah it eats the calcium too...don't overdo it...just one small J is every weekend...you will enjoy it more...and smoke good stuff..Bom!!
