Hi there, I think I have an answer for you. What you have is pretty common. You took out your nipple ring while it was infected and what happened is the "sides" of your piercing have closed over trapping the infection inside with no way to get out. There are a few things you have to do. You should soak your nipple in a cup of hot water mixed with sea salts or Epsom salts three times a day. Then you should spray it with "Magic Dragon Mist" (available at any good piercing shop) if you can't find this product the next best thing is teatree oil, Which you can get from any drug store. In addition when you are showering make sure you are using a soap that doesn't have any perfumes or moisturizers as this will increase the irritation. Your nipple should look a lot better in about seven days, but make sure you continue with this treatment until all signs of the infection are gone. After the infection has gone away you can put vitiam E on your nipple to reduce the scarring. I hope I have helped you. I own a piercing shop and like I said before this is a common problem.

I've had mine done for about three months i haven't soaked them or anything they have never became sore. i was cleaning them with a Q-Tip moving it back and forth with alcohol but the middle hurt ( inside ) i asked the guy who peirced them. he said not to move them back and forth like I was something about the way they heal that you shouldn't do that for the fact of when you move them back and forth you reopen or rip the skin that has healed... the bars i have in are tight against them. never had any swelling of them.. and as for having kids my peircer said that more holes would produce within the peircings which would hurt anything since you have like a sh*t loads of holes there anyway. just take the ring out feeding time and you gotta sterilize the nipple anyway before feeding just make sure you sterilize it really good between each feeding ( I have a year old ) anyway i have 12 peircings and I have had not one Problem with any of them. I hope that helps anyone....

I had nipple peircings done 3 months ago. Despite cleaning, the left nipple became infected. I removed the peircing due to extreme soreness, and later found out it is wrong to do so. My left nipple ring has been out for 3 weeks or so, and although the pain decreased dramatically at first, a reddish lump is starting to formto the right of the nipple. i have had little luck contacting the piercer and am turning to the net to get answers. ask around to find an honestly respectable shop, if the piercer is any good, he'll be able to tell you what's going on

After i had taken my nipple peircings out I had the same thing happen on the left side of my nipple; I had gotten irritated and concerned as well. After the healing had completed, it had eventually reduced in size. I just suggest to not try to pinch at it ( like a pimple ) that will only make the infection take longer to heal. occationally put non-fragrent lotion on it, don't mess with it at all, it will go away!

if you took it out after only three months then thats probably why it's still sore, it takes up to seven months to heel properly. I'vehad both my nipples done for about two years now, but in the first five months my left got really infected so i got anti-biotic off the doctor, cleaned it three times a day with salt water and it cleared up in two weeks. good luck.

Call a doctor. Doctors are good. they are here to help you. Don't be dumb and ask people on the net. because all they are going to do is laugh at your lumpy nipple. Call the doctor before the whole nipple falls off. i got them done 7 months ago and they re fully healed. if ur bras r tight that can be a reason y is infected. i also u hope u went to a professional to pierce u cuz if u didnt... well good luck!

in regards to the nipple soaking in sea salt is the best 1 tbsp to a glass of worm water and let it soak for 3-5 mins for about 3 weeks..twice a day after that if the swelling hasnt gone down go see a doc cuz den u gots some probls cya.. -Les

I just got my nipples peirced Saturday so I really cant say much but that maybe you did something wrong. But if I am wrong just go to your piercer and ask him/ner what you should do. Dont listen to anyone on line because they are not professionals whether they had the peicing or not because not all things work for everyone.

my brother had the same thing happen its all normal but now he kinda has a third nipple like just under it and the doctors said hes gonna be fine lol

hey i had the same thing happen with my belly button just dont touch it at all unless your hands are very clean...and it will eventually heal..but mine i squezzed it like a pimple and it was better within a few weeks but remmeber it will get worst b4 it gets better good luck email me and let me know how youve done...xo_brittany_ox69@hotmail.com

i think u r being dumb. not taking good care of your nipples. whyy would u clean them? how old r u> if u aint gonna take care of them then u should have not gotten it done. next year on my 18th birthday. i getting some peircing done. i'lltake care of them. i want my tounge,belly,some more of my ears done& the side of my lip!! i think i'mgett my belly and tounge done 1st. s0o0oo... durong tha summer i can go swiming.

I think that u should of just stuck with it and cleaned it alot then im sure the pain would ahve gone away but that is the risk you took. Too Bad

You should do a few things. First soak it in warm salt water for like and hour twice a day for a week or two. If it doesnt clear up go see a doctor. You should also contact the place you got it done at. They might have answers to any other questions you have.

I just recently got both of my nipples peirced and the right one looked a little infected so what I did was start putting a low hydrocortizone cream on and cleaned it with dial soap and the infection seemed to go away! I hope that it works for you like it worked for me!!

i got mine done about 4 months ago and mine hurt for about 3 months, then i started to put peroxide on it and then washing it in the shower with hand soap w/ alchohol in it. then put some lotion on it with out fragrance in it.

well i have lots of friends that have this done and they all have the same prob. most of them used warm water and epsom salt it worked wonders. so i hope that this goes away and when it does get it peirced again,its gonna hurt worse but it is worth the pain! luv ya krys.

im not too sure.my friend has a peircing kit and did mine about 3 days ago and mines doing ok.its just sore when i touch it.Im only 16.Am i in any danger for anything?

Clean with sea salt i tps in like glass of hat water 3 times a day then after word clean with Dial antibacterial soap after word thats the best thing to clean peircings with aight best of luck

i did my own nipple...ive had it for5 months now and its fine. If you took it out that was probably your first mistake. while your in the shower you should move the ring or barebell around to let the water in...thats the only time i clean mine and its never even been red.
