No. She was a crack head with Samuel L. Jackson in Spike Lee's Jungle Fever.

No she didn't play the crack fiend in New Jack City. The crack fiend was played by an actress by the name of Laverne Hart. Halle played a crack fiend in Jungle Fever and in Losing Isiah but wasn't even on the set of New Jack City.
