I'm 17 and the Lab that my family owns will only obey me. Why?

Are you the one that feeds him?

It depends. You might be the one who feeds, trains, walks, him etc. Also if you're the only one that makes him do what he's supposed to and the others let him get away with things then that would be a definite answer. Because he feels more secure that you will take control and be the "leader of the pack."  It could also be that he is more attached to you due to more attention so he is more willing to please you. He needs to learn to obey everyone though, especially in a family setting.
