is organic soil better than regular soil?

Interesting question, and one that I'm sure will result in some interesting answers.The interesting thing about it is there is no regular soil. You have different soil types such as sand, clay, loam, sandy loam, etc. and you have different soil levels such as topsoil and subsoil. Now if you are talking about using organic soil amendments as opposed to chemical amendments then organic is much better. Why? When you add organic amendments to soil you are improving and fortifying the life cycle of the soil. When you use chemicals you are creating a dependence on the chemicals and the soil can't survive or produce without them.

I do think organic is better because my friend did a science experiment and we found organic soil grew 3 times faster.  On day 2 the organic soil started to grow but the regular did not grow until day 6 so we think that organic is better

i think that regular soil is better. i think this because organic is like fake soil . so which is better fake or real?  DUH

yes because i also did a science experiment and the organic grew way faster then the regular soil[top soil]

I'm still doing my experament but i think that oranic soil is better because it has more vitamins and healthy things for the plant.:P :D
