Bipolar I- crazy for more than a week. (Or less if you end up in a psych ward)
Bipolar II- not so crazy, not as severe.

Did you know that there are now endless classifications of this disorder?

No I did not because I have been diagnosed with bipolar 1 with hypomania and my diagnosis was released to my employer by kaiser yet I am still  employed as an lvn 30years. The chief of Psych.Kaiser Riv. Ca  J. Witkowski released that diagnosis but failed to diagnos my ptsd. Had Kaiser not contracted out with another hosp. that stopped shock tx. DR Chief is been reported for abuse to pts and is pending state hearing but is now moved up in my company as an administator at kasier Riverside Ca.

Bipolar I results in man slaughter, if not properly treated. Bipolar II is more being delusional or reclusive.

I do not know the different classifications of this disorder.  I suffered from episodes of severe depression for many years. Anti-depressive medications did not help.  I starting having manic episodes about every three years.  They got worse each time until the last time I ended up in the psychiatric hospital.  Since then I have been on new medications:  Resperidol and Lamictal.  I had been taking Effexor for years so the doctor kept me on that.  I would like to know what medications other bi-polar 1 patients are taking.
