Looking to breed our purebred, gorgeous male Yorkie (1 years old) -- My best friend's Yorkie passed away last year( after 18 years) and she loves our dog. We promissed her before we neuter him we will try to breed him and get her a pup. Please write if you are in the Los Angeles area -- classicKa@aol.com

Try to get her to buy a different pup instead of having you breed yours.  First, you will have to find a dog that has good bloodlines and isn't too far away witch could easily take over a month, then wait 'till she is in heat witch is probably 2 months away, go through the process of breeding which could take up to two weeks, wait 9 weeks for them to be born, and 8 weeks before they are ready to leave the mom. By now you have a minimum of about 4 months or a maximum of over 7 to wait for them. That's a long time to wait for a pup just because you want it by a certain dog. Plus the chances that a pup would be "just like yours"(if that's why she wants it) are VERY low. And what about the other pups. How easily will they find homes? I would suggest you talk to her about this.
