It varies from doctor to doctor, but it generally ranges somewhere between $125-$200 PER VISIT. And it usually takes between 5 and 10 visits before you start to see results.

It really depends on the type of the laser and each clinic varies as well.  I found $300 per time to be the median rate for laser removal.  I was told around 3 times and you start to see the results - but it takes many more treatments than that for it to totally go away.  I had one treatment, and it is already faded.  Remember, the body continuously removes that ink from your body - it takes up to 6 months for all the ink to disapear from just your first treatment.  Hope this was helpful!

well i have 6 tattoos being removed and i go every 6 weeks. i pay 200 a docter visit and the price of the laser varies depending on how many pulses. for instance the first time i went i had 987 pulses and it cost 783 plus 200 for the docter visit.  i just finished my sixth treatment and each tatto has faded differently. luckly i have all black ink being removed.. i would say that i will need about 15  more treatments to have them totally gone which means i will be spending around 10,000 to get them totally off. if this is any help or you need some more answers feel free to email me at rpratt9857@aol.com and i can assist anyone with any questions thanks

I have one large tattoo about 4 inches in length and 4 inches in width on my back. It cost $600.00 per session due to the size. If I had a smaller tattoo, it would cost around $150.00 - $250.00 a session. I'm sure in the long run it will cost me approx. $5,000.00 to get it completely removed.

You people are getting raped.  Here in South Florida the prices are light years better.  I am having an entire half sleeve removed using the most up to date blended pulsed q-switch laser for removal.  I pay $300 per session.  In the first session I already had a tremendous amount gone.  I read some of the answers above... $783 + $200 for the doctor??!!?? Or $10,000 to have it removed?? Dont see anything until 3 sessions??!! Whatever you are doing... change it!!

I recently heard of TCA (trichloroacetic acid) its a skin peel used to reduce fine lines and acne scars but has been medically proven to reduce and in some cases completely fade your tattoo without the price of surgery or pain and only costs about 50$ heres the website INKBUSTERS.COM  or (858)693-0432

I just went in for my first tattoo removal treatment yesterday, it cost me 150.00 to have two small tattoos done in one session, It was much faster than I had anticipated and although it was painful the short procedure was not all that bad. The place that I went was clean and professional i go back in six weeks for my next treatment.

I have been having 3 tats removed - 1 is home-made, 1 is half home-made half professional, and 1 that  is fully professional.
I pay 165 for 15 minutes of laser time and around 300 for the doctor each time. My home-made all black tat is virtually gone after the first session and my professional tat fadedmore in the black than in the color.
I am 2 weeks post-op on my 2nd session. If any one is intersted, give a shout and I will keep you posted on my progress.

hi i live in Thailand and i have a huge tattoo (Length: 12inch Width: 4inch) on my arm that i would like to replace or remove. the problem is its black and from what i'veheard to replace a tattoo the new tattoo must use a darker color; i would like to replace it with this black and grey scenery tattoo of a graveyard that i found but i am unsure whether or not it would work. i would appreciate it if you guys could give me some advice on how i can remove or replace my tattoo in a reasonable price range.

And if i do get a tattoo on top of the one i have now is there any negative effect or any effect at all on my skin or the tattoos?

I have a tattoo that's circluar in shape, kinda tribal, all black less than a year old, about two inches tall and two long. I have been using tat b gone, and haven't really been seeing results and it says it can take up to 18 months. So I began looking into laser removal, which is SO expensive and I can't even find anything in my area (Raleigh NC). Any suggestion?

I'm currently having a tattoo removed and have been through 3 sessions.  I go every 6 wks and it costs me $212 each time.  My tattoo is a pretty thin band around my upper arm and is 6 inches long.  It has already faded pretty dramatically and my Dr. says I will probably only need a couple more treatments.  My advice is the longer you wait in between sessions - the better off you are.  It is not the laser that removes the tatto - it only breaks up the ink.  Your immune system in your body is what actually absorbs the ink and it can take a long time.  They will tell you to wait at least 6-8 wks between sessions but I would suggest waiting AT LEAST 8 weeks for the best results.

I work for a laser clinic in NC.  We don't charge for consultations, even with our MD or NP.  The minimum charge for tattoos, 2x2, is $100.  Tattoos bigger than 2x2, are $25 per square inch.  Anyone interested in cosmetic procedures needs a consult, know what kind of lasers they use, see before and after pictures of real patients.  The bigger the tattoo, the more money.  Hint:  Anyone interested in tattoo removal needs to understand that every "body" is different.  Everyone's immune system responds differently.  Follow pre and post-op care instructions.  We recommend that an individual get at least 3-5 treatments, at least 8 weeks apart and then we'll assess the treatment from there.  We've seen homemade tattoos go completely away in 2 or 3 tx's.  We've seen professional tattoos fade by 90% with in 6-10 treatments.  Color is also a factor and your skin type.  Black ink is so much easier to get out b/c the darker the ink, the easier the "target" for the laser.  Now if someones got red, blue, green, yellow inks....that only means one thing, multiple treatments and more money.  We have lasers from ALMA, an international laser company/distributor.  Get on their website and read about our lasers.  If anyone would like to know more about us, get on www.completelaserclinic.com.  Hope this is helpful.

I got a tatoo removed from my neck it was black and red..the red came out with in 5 sessions however the black took 14 sessions..i paid in cash up front so it cost me 1,200 total..this was only suppose to be for 12 sessions but the doctor thought it would of been gone by then so he let me have the last two for free...i think if i had to finance it it would of been a little more expensive..and the tatoo was pretty big it was across the whole left side of my neck.
