I was interested in finding out about French Bull dogs. Breeding problems, health problems, and cost. I would like to try breeding them. I do this as a hobby only. I have plenty of time. I am currently living in Louisiana but a native of Texas down in the Rio Grande Valley. What would it take to buy a pair of adults. Can you help??????Sherry

I own a french bull dog, they are very expensive, mine is a male.
I looked into breeding and grew discouraged due to the cost, the care, the breed is not common and professional breeders want to keep the breed exclusive, if you want to buy quality puppies, try this site. www.californiafrenchbulldog.com that where i got mine from. good luck.

If you are interested in a high-quality pair of mature French bulldog breeders, you should expect to pay anywhere from 1400-3000, this would be probably your best bet, because with the higher quality, the puppies may double this pay back in perhaps two breedings. If you are looking for lower "pet" quality dogs, perhaps from 600-1000, these puppies would be a lower quality, but you will be surprised at some of the beauties you can get out of these dogs. But for the best bet, I would go for the higher quality, by which I mean AKC or equivalent registry, a close conformation to the Breed standard of whatever organization they are registered through, familiarize yourself with this standard, memorize it, even. Don't be timid, ask all about the dogs, Do they come from different parents? Have they had any other litters? can you see pictures of the pups? (this is so you can see what you can expect) Maybe even are some of the previous (independent) pups are there so you can see what sort of temperament they exhibit. I would be as nosy as possible if I was buying any dog, but especially breeders.
