I have an approved I-140 and I wish  to travel to the USA using my tourist visa (acquired 1998)for a vacation with my family . Will there be a problem?

No there shouldn't be a problem, but at the POE you may have to prove sufficient ties to return to your home country.  But 9/10 times there is no problem, just allow abit of extra time if you have a connecting flight after the POE.
