Is an intraocular pressure of 20 mmHg normal?
Why do some specialists advise a therapy that regulates the pressure by using eye drops (eg Xalatan) where as others advise that this is unecessary and suggest no treatment but have yearly check-ups? What are the risks of not treating this as suggested versus taking the drops? Are there any adverse effects of using Xalatan and/or are there any other alternatives?

It depends on the risk factor of the patient.
