Not very long from what I can tell. I have a 2002 Tundra with 49k on it and the belt has been squealing for some time now.  I sprayed it with some dressing but didn't help much.  It looks good though.

My 2002 Tundra has a squealing belt also with 50K miles on it.  Dressing it with a spray doesn't help, usually makes it worse.  How hard is it to change the belt?

USE "Gates" brand belts. Much better quality than "Toyota OEM" replacement. SBaumgartner@dc.rr.com

Spray it with a tire dressing.  It will lube it a little and the squeal should go away.  It's usually the top side of the belt that's squealing.  I've been doing that for years on various vehicles and it works.

My Tundra has 68000 and the dealer said i need to change the belt becuase there are visible cracks on the belt. So if you see small cracks on the belt then it's time to change it. It's very expensive ($110).

I changed my belt at about 80k.  It is not too diffucult.  May want to make note of the travel around the pulleys.  Note that the belt tension is not adjustable.  There is a spring loaded tensioner that has a bolt attached to the middle of it.  Put a wrench on it and turn and the tensions will let up on the belt for removal.  It's actually a very convenient way to provide tension and to release tension when changing the belt.

How do I check if it's the belt or the pully bearing?

Where can I buy a "Gates" DB?
