the spider as a symbol has three distinct determinations: creativity is symbolized by the spider weaving the web; infinity is represented by the figure-eight shape of its body and chaos is represented by the spiders pattern of building and destroying webs, luring prey then killing them.

the spiderweb tattoo on the elbow was originally a prison tattoo that meant that a person had killed someone who was "racially inferior" (i.e. "white power").  anymore, the spiderweb tattoo has a personal meaning to the wearer, such as a feeling of being trapped or someone who thinks they have similar qualities to a spider (patience, agility, etc...)  to others, it's just decorative and has no real significance other than to look good

it used to be a white supremicists tattoo, that meant they've killed a 'minority' (usually a black person), a symbol of drug addiction, or a symbol they had done time in prison. now, people get it because they think it looks good and its allmost a punk/skin/rockabilly/psychobilly tattoo trend, like a spider with a girls head, or swallows, etc. Apparnetley also worn by faggot pop punkers like benji.

The Spider web on the elbow signifies how many years a man spent in a penitentiary! Each ring on the web represents one year of a prison term. It is not a Neo Nazi Tattoo, as I have many Neo Nazi tattoos.
