Due to a health issue my memory does not allow me to give the help I'd like to but I would like to say your dogs problem is curable. You need to make use of several family members and friends. Your dog will need to live with these individuals for weeks at a time with only occasional visits by you. You must also supply dog treats that you know the dog enjoys. Place a piece of clothing you have worn (I was told a sock
works best) in the container of these treats. This will give the dog the idea that you are present. The keeper of your pet is to offer these treats as necessary. Have your pet fed at the same time schedule you feed your pet when with you. The two of us walked the dog several times a day until it felt comfort with my friend and would take it's walk solely with these persons.          My friend would always carry some of the dog treats and a piece of my clothing in a pocket while with the dog.
I was eventually told not to visit for several weeks. This same plan took place with several others. Eventually the problem was solved.
The most important instruction is to make sure the dog senses you are still around by the use of the snacks, a piece of clothing,
or toy that your sent remains on.
I wish I could help more but...
                      Good luck, Rex

Very nervous dogs are often the result of inbreeding. You could try Rex's suggestion and get your dog used to people.

I work at an animal hospital, i think you should take your dog in to be seen by a Vet. It could be a number of problems that are easily controlled. Your dog could be put on a drug for incontinence if that is his problem. On the other hand he could have come from a mean home, where they just were awful to him, but the best bet is to take him to a Veterinarian!

You might try inviting someone over while your dog is asleep. When he wakes up, the person should be at his level, on the floor. make sure you are close by as well. Then the person should put out their hand slowly and leave it there. Wait until your puppy dares to venture close enough to smell the hand and then slowly raise it palm up to pet him. He will feel less threatened.

You need to associate your dog with other people especially kids, because i have a black lab/rot mix he's cute lovable and loves kids. Just have to love your dog a lot and give him lots of attention and interaction with other people.  with his wetting, it means he is really shy and scared so if someone comes over make sure he/or she gives him attention and he probably get better. good luck

My dog has the same problem that your does. He barks at people and acts like hes going to tear someone up. Then he would pee EVERYWHERE even inside!! I'm not going to say this will work but this cured my pup in about a 2 months or so. I just took him everywhere with me. To my grandmothers house for visits, we played with him outside (slowly at first) and I put him around as many (nice) people as I could. They gave him treats as well (When he was good lol) I took him to local pet stores that allowed pets, to the park, rides in cars. I think being around people made him like them more. We really do believe before we got him, he was abused, pretty bad. And now he understands that he has got more than enough people to love him hes starting to adapt. He's still cautious around every person who walks in our front door EVEN IF ITS ME. But nothing compared to what it use to be. I really hope everything works out for you. Also as the vet above has said. He just might have a health prob.   Theres just so many explanations. Hope all is well....
