Where is the trunk light switch located for a 1996 Chrysler Sebring 2dr LXI,  I can not locate a mercury switch or a preasure switch in the trunk,.  The line to the light has juice to it.

It may be a mercury swith that is in the socket assembly itself.
This is glass bulb with 2 contacts and a mercury drop inside. When the trunk is closed, the drop does not touch the contacts, but when you open it, the mercury drop gets displaced to a position that closes the circuit by touching both contacts and closing the circuit, thus turning on the light.
