I have a '93 Laser in need of repair from the timing chain "slipping".  My mechanic says this is common for the Laser engine.  I'm looking for confirmation that this is a known defect.  Any suggestions?

I think that the "slipping" of the timing belt is consistant with most mopar 2.0 engines.  I have seen this not only in a laser but also in the first generation neons of 95.
