How can you tell how big a chihuahua is going to be at adulthood, when it is only 8wks old?

My little Gremlin was just over one pound at eight weeks, she ended up being just under three.  My little Nixie was just under 1 1/2 pounds, she is just over four at full grown.

It can vary, but whatever weight they are at four or five months, double that and you will probably be close.  This assumes that the puppy is well fed now and that it is not overindulged with treats.

I suggest getting the book Chihuahuas for Dummies, which is the best book I have on the care and maintenance of these adorable little creatures.

If you go to a search engine and type in chihuahua weight chart you can find some really good ones that are quite accurate

At 8 weeks mine was 10oz and now she is about six lbs at a year.
