Whenever I enter a figure in Excel it divides it by 100. Cell format etc seems fine. What am I doing? It suddenly started to happen and must be something basic but I am lost for answer.

In the Tools - Options dialog box... On the Edit Tab...

If you have "Fixed Decimal Places" checked, it automatically divides any number. If you automatic decimal place is set to 2, it divides by 100; if set to 3, it divides by 1000 and so on...

Go to the following steps:
1. CLICK on TOOLS menu
2. CLICK on OPTIONS... item
3. CLICK on EDIT tab (where you see view, calculation, edit, general, etc.)
4. LOOK to see if "Fixed Decimal" has a check next to it.  If so, take it off.
5. CLICK "OK" button.

On a quick check, this is the only thing I could find that would cause this problem.
