what six letter word can you subtract one letter from and have twelve remaining?

the answer is "six letter word" because if you subtract one letter, you have 12 left

the answer is "six letter word" because if you subtract one letter you get twelve letters

The answer is "dozens". Take away the last letter and twelve remain!!

"dozens" - "s" = dozen
