I'm not sure but I think they would be more unhealthy and possibly retarded or blind. Some may be fine but inbreeding can't be good.

Inbreeding can double up on health issues. Animals are not going to be born blind or retarded that are inbreed:-) A good example is let's say your dog has a hereditary heart condition and it is mated with either Father/Mother or siblings. YOU will be VERY likely to produce pups with this heart condition. ALL breeds have some health problems and they should be checked by a specialist and cleared of whatever your breeds poison is prior to any breeding.

My friend had a dog that was born blind but that might not have resulted from inbreeding. Thanks for the correction. I wouldn't want to lead people wrong by my answer!

Inbreeding will generally double up on the genes for any given trait. Given that it can be wonderful or disasterous depending on the good and bad genes being carried by the tow dogs put togather. Generally it is considered very risky, only to be tried by those who are very knowledgeable, experienced and willing to euthenize any pups that are abnormal.

Inbreeding can cause deformities in pups. I advise against it.
