I had sound changed programs now get sound error 80040265. unknown sound card.

I have the same problem  after  change the motherboard and new installation.

The error means that either the file is damaged, or the file can't be read by your player. Your best bet is to verify that the program works for the particular file you want to play/hear.

m getting d same error answer is that d sound card driver is needed.
mine is IT8172 not able 2 get it yet

at the link below :)

Windows Media Player cannot open 'E:\New Folder (2)\nov2\G-15.DAT'.  You may need to reboot to complete installation of a downloaded component.  Please verify that the path and filename are correct and try again. (Error=80040265)

you have a single solution. No money, no charges. you get walking TO the nearest store and buy another some modern PC.That is a real solution. Like my daddy says: there is no problem without solution.

The problem can be solved if the latest version of real player is used to play files or Divxplayer 2.5.3 is used
