I thought a guy at work liked me - he seemed to be giving out all the 'right' signals (the differences in his interaction between others and with me).  However, when I got the courage up to ask him out (alas with all the finesse of a 13 year old), I was met with a lame excuse and no indication of a future possibility.  My question is: should I just forget about him, or (and this is my preferred option), give it a little while, then casually ask him out again?

i think you should maybe forget about him...theres plenty more fish in the sea. I know its not what you want to hear, but the thing is guys like that dont deserve to be gone after by women. if hes interested he will ask you out, because now you have asked him out once it may give him some sort of indication.

A terrible idea.  If the guy turned you down the first time, there was a reason for it.  And if he changes his mind, or the "reason" was temporary, he now knows you are interested and will ask you out himself.

Hi there, I would say go for it again, but try to find out if he is the kind of guy that will be intimidated by you or if he is genuinely not interested in you..

Don't grovel hun. Don't stoop that low, and ask him again. He doesn't want you, face facts and be kind to yourself. Find someone who has respect for you. Remember its that guy who is the looser for leading you on, not you for wanting him.
