I just got a cocker-poo puppy. He is 3 months old and I am wondering if he will be OK with my 16 month old baby girl. Are they aggressive like the cocker spaniel or not? I know is not good to have a cocker spaniel around a baby until the baby is 11 years old. Should I be concerned?
Thank you,
Geanina

we have a cockerpoo and we have had him since he was 4 months old he is now 10 months old and  i have never owned a dog that has had such a good and loving nature as this dog, he is brilliant with both my sons, although they are older, but he does not show any aggression what so ever.

I have had a cockopoo for 14 years that I just recently lost, and she has been wonderful with both my children. She had the sweetest temperment of any pet I had ever owned and has been nothing but a blessed addition to our family. I don't think you cold ask for a sweeter family pet.

I had a cocker poo that I lost just a year ago and he was wonderful with my niece & nephew. I just wish he was still around to interact with my now 19 month old daughter. I believe this is the best breed of dog & the only kind I will ever own again.

cocker spaniels are not agressive what so ever i have 2 of them myself. cocker poos are exactly the same they will not get agressive if you treat him/her with respect and not harm it in anyway if possible. They are the cutest of dogs spaniels and they are not the agressive type.

Our family got a cock a pooh in March of 04 we have a four yr old little girl.Daisy (her name)is just wonderful with our daughter she plays very well with our little girl. When my daughter was sick Daisy stayed right by her side.My daughter and Daisy sleep together ever night. They are best friends. By the way we just got Daisy in March of 05 she is currently six months old and I truly believe we have the best dog. Cock a poos are known for being great with younger children this I have found to be very true.

We have a cockapoo.  He is three years old and he is smart and loveable.  The only problem is that he is unpredictable.  He can suddenly become very agressive and bite.  He has bitten each member of our family at least once and now we have to make a decision if we can keep him.  Too much cocker spaniel can be a problem.

Yo tengo dos cockopoos de 7 meses de edad y son perros maravillosos de compañia y de caza. Son perros simpáticos pero no les gusta la gente extraña, y son un poco temerosos.

Cockapoos are known to be so wonderful and patient with children but not all cockers being used for breeding cockapoos have a good temperament.
Is the mother of your puppy good natured?
You can get a good idea if the puppy is sweet natured and submissive.
Hold him on his back restraining him for a few minutes and see if he stays calm.
Touch him all over including his tail and ears with little tugs hear and there and see his reaction.
As with any puppy, you will need to monitor
your childs time with it.

I have a 7month old cockapoo. My sister and her 8month old baby were home for Christmas and my pup never showed any signs of aggression towards my little niece. He would come right up to her and sniff her when she was on the floor but he did nothing at all to frighten the child or us adults. Sammy is a great dog with a wonderful temperment towards children, adults and other animals.

I love my cockapoo puppy! He's the sweetest. Cockers aren't all that high tempered... females just like to relax and ignore..

I just wanted to say that I dont understand why you think cockerspaniels are aggressive!! I have a beautiful 3 yr old cockerspaniel she's gone being bred right now but she's the most wonderful dog with kids and especially babys she'll lay right next to the baby and lick its feet basically protecting it! I've never heard of any cockapoos being aggressive either!
