My pet poodle dog is about 10 years old.  This winter he seems to want to sleep right through the night without a walk anywhere from 8:00 to 9:00 PM.  He is happy with an 8:00 AM walk in the morning and a 5:00 PM walk in the evening.

Thus far, he has not awakened to make any mistakes in the house.  Is this o'kay?  I don't like the cold either.  I would prefer not to walk out in the cold on evenings such as tonight.  Can I continue to trust my dog?

Yes, you should be able to trust your pet. He is probably getting used to the routine of all sleep and no play, so his bladder is not as active.
