Your local library will have many books about chihuahuas.  The best in my opinion is Chihuahuas for Dummies.

Hmmmm... well let's see, besides being such  adorable little creatures chihuahuas are spunky , affectionate, protective of their human guardians and their food. Chihuahua bond very closely with one or two people and generally do not like to be left alone. Also chihuahuas  do not seem to know just how small they are.  They just love to snuggle under warm clothes or blankets, they get eal cozy. I Don't want to make a blanket statement about all Chihuahuas so I must tell you I base all this information solely  on my little girl chihuahua named Chalupa. I'm also sure you will find much information on this site , it is filled with friendly and knowledgefull people. You have come to the right place to learn about chihuahuas.  Take care:)

Also chihuahua are the world's smallest breed. There is no breed of dog smaller. Chihuahuas are spunky and have a heart like a lion. Chihuahuas need protection just like any other small breed toy dog.

Chihuahuas are the world's smallest breed of dog.The breed of mini pinschers as a breed are still  larger than chihuahuas. I'm not saying there aren't  some dogs that are small for their breed.

Chihuahua's are a wonderful breed. They have a very big personality for such a small breed. Willa is right they are the smallest breed of dog, and like she said there is some dogs that are smaller chihuahua's but as a breed chihuahua's are the smallest dog.

Thanks for support Rachel:). Yes it's a fact Chihuahuas are the smallest breed of dogs in the whole wide WORLD. I would absolutely never post a statement that is not true. Check with the American Kennel club.Chihuahua have the title as the smallest breed in the world. I always knew my little Chalpa was special:) Well, before my little girl joined our family I did not even know how to spell the word chihuahua. Chalupa has taught me so many new things.

Chihuahuas are the smallest breed in the world because they are the only breed that was never bred down to a smaller size, like a Min Pin for instance.  Chihuahuas were always small - although some have been bred to a slightly smaller size to create the so called, "teacups".  Chis can range in size from 1.5 to 15 pounds.  They are intelligent, swift moving, loyal, moody, playful, arrogant at times, and lovable.  If you have a big enough heart and the time you can't go wrong with a Chihuahua!

I have a chihuahua too, like other small dogs chihuahuas are yappy sometimes, it is a good watch dog too, I was coming down stairs in the middle of the night and Rico barked and growled until I turned on the light so he could see it was me. Excellent pets if I should say so my self, to control barking simply tell them no and eventually they will learn, if no doesnt work snap your fingers in front of its face to show your serious and it needs to watch out, show who,s boss.

I just got a 7 week old female chihuahua.  She is the cutest thing in the world.  I love her so much.  Anyway, my question is she had a small white tear drop mark in the middle of her forehead and I was just wondering if that was one of their traits.  A friend of mine told me it was but then another one of my friends said its not so I was just curious.
