My 9 mth.old male puppy bites me with anger when I try to take something forbidden out of his mouth. I've tried everything from "No biting!" while holding his beard and OW! His breeder was a reputable one, listed in the AKC. He's been like this since he was 9 weeks old.

The best thing to do is turn to a professional dog trainer to correct this behavior. You can find them at any shelter or ask your breeder to recommend you one. Good luck!!!

my father's shih tzu, daisy, does the same thing. I have nearly broke her but not completely as of yet. I place my finger in her mouth when she is not defensive. If she bites down ,i then close my finger(which is in her mouth) and my thumb (which is under her lower jaw)together firmly. just enough to show her this is not accepted and she has consequence. i firmly say DON'T BITE. I repeat this a few times a day. she seems to have caught on and i can now even give her a pill if needed. But she will still bite anyone but me. you don't hurt the dog. you just make it clear that you are the one in charge. you kinda keep her from biting down by grasping the lower jaw and opening it more so she can't bite. I guess you have to set your own limits with the dog. They seem to think that people are to do things their way. they are so cute that it's easy to spoil them into thinking that way. good luck.

I HAVE THE SAME PROBLEM WITH MY MALE 8 MONTH OLD. HE IS OUT RIGHT NASTY WHEN IT COMES TO TAKING SOMETHING OUT OF HIS MOUTH. I DONT KNOW WHAT TO DO EITHER OTHER THAN NOT GIVE HIM THINGS THAT I WOULD HAVE TO TAKE AWAY FROM HIM.
