I want to import clips in adobe premiere and the compression format is unsupported. I believe that premiere only accepts avi 2 and that must not be what I have. How do I get it and how do I download videos and clips with the correct method, or how do I convert my existing clips to the appropriate format

One would thing that for 700 dollars Adobe would allow their program to import as many video formats as the FREE Windows Movie maker...  Unbelievable.
