I CAN REPAIR THE HEAD GASKET FOR $345 PLUS A
$50 DIAGNOSIS.  THERMALWELD IS ABLE TO REPAIR MOST BLOWN HEAD GASKETS WITHOUT DIS-ASSEMBLING THE ENGINE ( WHICH IN THE PAST HAS BEEN THE MAJOR EXPENSE IN THE PROCESS)

I have 97 dodge caravan with head gasket problems where the oil is leaking out from the head gasket.  Will any of the Thermaweld or Thermagasket products work?  If it goes in the coolant, how would it close the leak in other part of the head gasket and prevent the oil leak?  Not sure how that works???  Thanks  Joe

I like the thermal weld but it is pretty expensive.  I think that i might hook up with someone who knows what they are doing and repair yourself for under $100.00, but that includes taking the top half of the motor apart.  If you don't like to get don and dirty take it in and get a thermal weld and waste your money.

Dude, don't try the therma-weld...unless you are an asshole that wants to cover up a problem before you sell it.   Thermaweld is a temporary solution to a problem.   The only way to fix a bad head gasket is to replace it, and the only way to replace it is to pull the head off.   If one is bad you should replace all of them because when one goes out the other is soon to follow unless it was a bad gasket in the first place.   Pulling the heads off can be a trick, keeping garbage out of the cylinder walls tedious, and you might need to pull out the distributor and/or the manifolds, but the most complicated procedure when replacing the head gasket is a toss up between torquing the head bolts down and deciding which shop you want to take your head down to to get it planed.  runningwithscissors

I used Thermagasket in my decade-old Plymouth Voyager, which had 192,000 miles on the odometer and a mean oil leak from the rear main seal. (In other words, I had nothing to lose!) The 2.4L motors in those vehicles are notorious for failed head gaskets.

I followed the instructions exactly and it worked... for about a year (6,500 miles). It had absolutely no negative impact on the cooling system. However, its impact on the head gasket was temporary.

There is a reason the makers of Thermasgasket guarantee their product for only 90 days.

If you want the vehicle to be reliable over the long haul, get a real fix. One that doesn't come in bottles.
