what does it mean if a dogs face swells up

hello my tow dogs got into a fight and one of my dogs face is now swollen it looks as if she was bitten right above the eye but the eye itself is not damanged i was not home at the time so i wouldn't know excatly what happened

it usually means that the dog is having an allergic reaction to something.  it may have been bit by a spider or some other insect.

this happened to o doxie of ours who ate, yes ate a wasp we had to take her to the vet to get a shot to stop the reaction seems we also gave Benadryl
