What is the best way for inserting graphics in PowerPoint without drastically increasing the file size.

The best way to insert graphics into powerpoint without increasing the file size needlessly is

Insert > Picture > From File

Never
Drag and Drop
or Copy and Paste (Particularly from the Internet)

Also avoid having too many pixels....see
