'97 Voyger-3.0-3spd auto 59,000 miles. Wife said vn feels funny. No idiot lights on.  I drove it, Drive it normal-trans slips as soon as touch gas but not all the time.  Baby it-real light foot-no slip felt start out but sometimes it shutters and slips going from 2nd to 3rd.  Dropped pan-usual metal wet powder on magnet.  Changed fluid/filter with the above driving results.  Any ideas?

I am having the same problems with the same vehicle - 97 voyageur 3 spd.  I rebuilt tran approx 5 mos ago Dec '03. I am investigating electrical first based on other web site comments - battery terminal corroded-suspected problem with controllers-governor-tran fluid & filter.  Speed sensors already replaced.  Once confirmed it isn't electrical I will return to tran shop to fix under warranty.  Did you resolve the problem with yours?
