subject matter: doxycycline and hearing loss and tinnitus
What would you do if you already had tinnitus and a hearing loss at the high frequencies at least and are told to take doxycycline for four weeks (200 mg a day)?
It is hard to judge if your tinnitus is getting worse or not as you have to direct your attention to the tinnitus in order to be able to make a decision. But it is known and you are told by the doctor that already turning your attention to the ringing makes it louder even if it is not getting worse.
The same is true with hearing loss. Until I am able to really judge if I have a hearing loss in the high frequencies (where every hearing loss done by medication starts and progresses)it is already too late. It is just that what I want to avoid (getting a still steeper declining audiological hearing line in the audiometry).

I'd very much appreciate to get an answer to my question.
Thanking in advance
G.
