I have a new St Bernard Puppy, she is 7 weeks old and she is so scared of the sound of dogs barking outside. What can I do to break her of this fear? When it happens she doesn't want to go potty.. she just cries by the back door and I am completely surrounded by other dogs.

She is a puppy and pups are very tender. She will get used to it eventually. Also maybe the reason she cries is because it reminds her of her family. Just give her lots of love and cuddles and she'll get over it. Good luck! Tanisha

If this fear does not resolve shortly I would recommend the touch system used by animal trainer Linda Tellington Jones.  Her touch system is based on using special touchs to the dog to remove their fears.  The changes are amazing and I have personally used it on my Saints with remarkable results.

I don't know why animals respond to this system the way they do but they do.
