They can go into heat from 4-18 months of age but it is strongly suggested to either wait till two years of age or the second heat to breed them so the dogs are mature enough. Hope this helps Tanisha

yes.. 4 mos to 18 mos your dog should go into her first heat cycle and then approximetely every 6 mos after that... a dog should NOT be bred before they are 2 years old and a person who has to ask how old the dog should be.. should NOT breed their dog, but instead get it spayed and enjoy it and be happy you arent adding to the pet over-population,.. contact your aspca or humane society before you decide to breed your dog...

If I were you i would wait till your dog is 1 year old, thats a good age!!!
